Chapelhill International Ministries began in 1997 as The Glory Network, an internet based ministry promoting Christian ideas and principles to a worldwide community. In 1999 the ministry began The Catch the Glory Crusades, an evangelistic outreach that emphasized the saving and healing message of Christ; an aspect of the ministry that started in Ontario, Canada, and by 2001 had extended to other nations. In 2001 Operation Christmas Card was founded; a compassionate outreach to the homeless of the Greater Toronto Area, which continues to provide love and compassionate care every Christmas Eve.
In 2003 the Glory Network officially changed its name to Glory Ministries International in response to the transition from an internet based ministry to an international evangelistic ministry. Glory Ministries International began it co-operative evangelistic efforts in 2005, and for the next five years continued to work with several large notable international ministries, in striving together for the Gospel in North America. Today the focus is now on the expansion and revitalization of the local church, through long-term growth and relationship building initiatives.
It was also at this time, in 2005, that GMI extended its reach by entering into the broadcast arena with a radio program called Covenant of Victory, which focused on strengthening the Christian faith by interviewing special guests to discuss biblical principles and how they are applied to daily life. Today our program has been renamed Refresh, which examines today’s pressing issues with lively and encouraging discussion.
From its inception, Glory Ministries was fully committed to conveying the importance of unity. As a result of that message, in 2009 an informal international pastor’s fellowship was formed to bring together clergy from denominations, non-denominations and different affiliations for purposes of encouragement and for the betterment of the communities they serve. In 2012 the board of directors of Glory Ministries International voted unanimously to once again change the name of the ministry to better reflect the activities of ministry, based on the perfecting of our mission and objectives. Thus in September of 2012 the name was legally change to Chapelhill International Ministries; and in 2016 Chapelhill Ministries, in association with another ministry, established Chapelhill Christian Training Center in Lahore, Pakistan; which is currently training 32 students to take the Good News of Christ to ever corner of that nation.
Chapelhill International Ministries remains committed and steadfast to our mission, to bring the love and compassion of Christ to every nation.
